Panthera Eruption
Panthera Eruption is a dramatic patterned discus featuring dense spotting, complex facial markings and a highly ornamental appearance.
Appearance
A dramatic patterned discus featuring dense spotting, complex facial markings and a highly ornamental appearance. Actual coloration, pattern intensity and body markings can vary naturally between individual fish and may continue developing as the fish matures.
Temperament
- Generally peaceful and social when maintained under suitable discus conditions.
- Best kept with other discus of a similar size; a group of around 5 or more is commonly preferred when aquarium size and filtration allow.
- Sensitive to abrupt changes in water quality, temperature and environment, so a calm and stable aquarium is important.
Care Requirements
- Water temperature: approximately 28°C to 30°C.
- pH: around 6.0 to 7.0, with stability being more important than chasing an exact number.
- Water: clean, well-filtered water with regular water changes. Soft to moderately mineralised water can work well for captive-bred discus when they are properly acclimated.
- Filtration: strong biological filtration with gentle, non-stressful flow.
Diet
Feed a varied, high-quality diet suitable for discus, including quality pellets or granules, flakes and appropriate frozen foods. Offer sensible portions and remove uneaten food to protect water quality.
Special Notes
- Dense spotting and panther-like facial patterning are among the most desirable visual traits.
- Pattern development may continue changing as the fish grows.
- A clean display tank helps the intricate markings remain the visual focus.
- Fish are sold per piece. Size is measured approximately from head to tail.
- Current-stock photographs or videos can be requested before ordering.
